I have been looking for a very long time for this product. Commonly available sponges, scrub gloves, and similar products are either made in plastic that cannot be rewashed, or have a texture that promotes bacteria growth unless you regularly wash it in the washing machine at high temperatures. This is also because they tend to retain lot of water and soap unless you spend a lot of time rinsing and squeezing, which increases wear and tear. Plus, it can be hard to reach all the body parts with them to get washed well. This African sponge answers to all of these issues that personally I had. As others have reported, I suffer too from keratosis pillaris and in a few weeks, I already noticed an improvement in my shoulder/upper arm area. By being consistent, I can foresee the same improvement for other skin concerns such as ingrown hair and leg KP. The general feeling of cleanliness is unparalleled. The “scarf-like” shape makes it awesome to wash my back easily, as i struggle to reach some points with my hands alone. I can’t wait to try it with the African black soap, which I recently purchased! Finally, Edem is a wonderful person and she personally gave me a call to talk about the African sponge color.. and life. So, I totally confirm the outstanding customer service because the person behind this is outstanding. Thank you!
