Acne is caused when tiny holes in the skin, known as hair follicles, become blocked.
Sebaceous glands are tiny glands found near the surface of your skin. The glands are attached to hair follicles, which are small holes in your skin that an individual hair grows out of.
Sebaceous glands lubricate the hair and the skin to stop it drying out. They do this by producing an oily substance called sebum.
In acne, the glands begin to produce too much sebum. The excess sebum mixes with dead skin cells and both substances form a plug in the follicle.
If the plugged follicle is close to the surface of the skin, it bulges outwards, creating a whitehead. Alternatively, the plugged follicle can be open to the skin, creating a blackhead.
Normally harmless bacteria that live on the skin can then contaminate and infect the plugged follicles, causing papules, pustules, nodules or cysts.
All skincare begins with cleaning your skin, twice per day—once in the morning and once at night. Often, it can be counter-productive to cleanse more often because the skin can react by producing more sebum, and thus exacerbate the problem you want to tackle.
Simple cases are often referred to chemists, where numerous over-the-counter treatments are readily available, but they do not always work. More severe cases are often referred to GPs of doctors, who may or may not precribe alternative solutions, ranging from courses of antibiotics, to various pharmaceutical preparations, and even to surgery.
As already stated, sometimes none of these interventions will help. People can find themselves frustrated, saddened, and increasingly desperate.
But what if there is a more natural, effective solution that is already readily available from stores and online, with none of the potential side-effects of some wholly artificial chemical formulations that abound on the market?
In 2018, we were approached by one young lady that had acute long-term cystic acne, and for whom no solutions had been found by chemists and doctors alike.
'What next?', she thought.
Then, one day she was shopping in a K-CityMarket store with her mother and spotted our African Black Soap, and read the text that said it can help with acne.
She persuaded her mother to purchase a piece of the soap for her to try. She used it, and both her and her mother were totally shocked by the results! They contacted us, sharing the photos you see here, to thank us for how the African Black Soap had helped her.
We were so happy to hear the story, and we soon after invited them to come and visit our production area in Helsinki. We had a lovely day, chatting, taking photos, and even a short video (in Finnish). It is always wonderful to hear that your product has had a real beneficial effect and boosted the feeling of wellbeing for a customer! :)
So, can it be effective?
Well, the obvious answer is that it clearly can! We already knew that many people suffering from acne and other skin problems had been helped by our African Black Soap, but here was concrete proof. But can we tell other people that this unique product really can work to treat acne?
Following this, we were inspired to carry out our first formal efficacy test which was carried out by an EU pharmaceutical research company, based in Spain.
To our delight, the results came back that nearly all participants had found that the Black Soap had helped their acne. Many found that they had no new breakouts after using the soap, and that existing breakouts had been reduced in a relatively short time.
Whilst we know that we cannot guarantee that 100% of people will benefit as well as the young lady that wrote to us, we certainly can guarantee that our African Black Soap is 100% natural, contains only two basic ingredients, is easy to use, and does not need any prescription.
Finally, a staggering 84% of the people that participated in the trial said that they would use the product if it were available to them!
Try it for yourself :)
We very much hope that you will try our wonderfully versatile African Black Soap for yourself, not only to treat acne, but as a general all-purpose face, body, hand and hair cleanser. It meets all the ideals that we set for ourselves, here at Inkuto, and it is readily available here on our website, and also from key retailers. It really can work for you, and it could make a massive difference in the life of yourself or a dear one!
